Loved your film. Loved your wife. That is my life and my money! I go into rehearsal next month with my wife as "DOLLY!" If interested and availability for six weeks, I'll put your wife on stage in Florida. No waivers, AEA minimum. (Big
Bucks!} Presently building two entertainment complexes, 2 theatres on each one, 52 acres each, 250 room hotel on each, Jacksonville and Chattanuga, total combined cost 200 million. See what I do in my spare time besides directing 8 shows a season.

MY best to you both.

Hi from Australia! I just wanted to say that I saw your movie for the first time today. It was on Showtime. I was so captivated by it, that I saw it four times in a 24 hour period. Wht an amazing, powerful movie. Thank you for your talents and creativity. As soon as this is released on DVD here I will be buying one copy for me and another for my daughter who starts film school next year. I know that she will love it too. Thanks again.

Thank you for taking the time to answer my email. It is very courteous of you and wonderful customer service. :)I will definately spread the word. With your permission, I will purchase a copy of the DVD or video and send it to my daughter's school for use by their theatre-arts program. Are there any restrictions in doing this?

There are no restrictions. However, the DVD will be coming out on December 20th in the united states, and am sure can be purchased on Amazon. It can't hurt to e-mail SCREEN MEDIA FILM, and inquire as to any other details. I'm sure they would be willing to accomodate. You can find them by clicking on the contact item on our website.

From Message
Clem Subject: Saw it at the Camera Club

We saw your film at Camera Cinema Club in San Jose, CA.

It was very well received. We all enjoyed. It was a remarkably fresh film. One of the best in club history.

We were disappointed that Lisa and Michael weren't able to put in a personal appearance and take questions afterwards. Tim (the MC) did a good job in filling in some of the backstory for us.

One minor point: we were unclear on the concept of "Equity Waiver." We could infer the general meaning of the phrase, but please put up a web page defining this phrase for us.

I was also curious: were the Playbills really printed upside down?!?

Hope to see more films from you in the future!

Michael Pressman In response to: Saw it at the Camera Club

thank-you for the response. Lisa and
I so wanted to be there, but we were

Equity waiver is actually an antiquated phrase. It is now called
99 seat theater. All you have to do is
pay actors money for travel from their home to the theater..... and yes, the
programs were printed upside down
in our real experience. Can you believe it?

William Fairey Subject: Saw it in Sarasota!

Made it to the 3rd(encore) screening at the Sarasota Film Fest.
This is one film that should not be missed.
The blurring of the lines between reality and fiction was truly magical.
One of your leads told me about the film while you were in pre-production; the concept fascinated me then and still does today.
The film is probably the best "inside Hollywood" piece ever done.
Best Wishes for the opening and here's hoping for a wide release!

From Message
Neyda Dejesus Subject: Saw the Film at the SAG headquarters in LA - IT is a TERRIFIC Film!

I saw the film just last night on May 20th. If you are tired of the same old senseless films with no content... here is a film that is not only a rollercoaster of disasters, it is down right hilarious from the moment it starts. As the previews say, if this story wasn't real you wouldn't believe it. It shows how comical a journey could be.

It was a real treat to have a sneek peak of the film followed by a conversation with the performers. It was quite surreal to see the performers walking into the stage seconds after the movie had ended. They have high hopes about this film but depending on how the movie gets distributed... I smell the dawn of another "My big fat greek wedding" Thanks Michael, Lisa and Alan for such a treat!!

These are my two
cents to spread the word. Go see this titillating story about a play that goes awry that then gets reincarnated into a sensuous and warm story about a couple beating all odds.

Neyda

Michael Pressman In response to: Saw the Film at the SAG headquarters in LA - IT is a TERRIFIC Film!

Yes, it was an absolutely thrilling evening for us too. What a great audience. And thank-you for sharing.
But you are talking to the converted.
The more people you reach out to who don't visit the website and are hearing about the movie for the first time, the better the chance we have of staying in the theater and building word of mouth.
But you have to remember, like the theater, the process and the interaction with the audience is the most rewarding thing. And last night proved that. Thank-you.
Lorie McMahon In response to: Saw the Film at the SAG headquarters in LA - IT is a TERRIFIC Film!

I was lucky to have viewed the movie on the 20th also. It was a pleasure to meet Michael, Lisa and Alan afterward. And I have already been spreading the buzz about this movie to friends here in LA. And as I said, if this movie ever shows in my hometown, Kansas City, I know lots of people who would go see it! As for now, I will keep spreading the word here. Thanks for a wonderful film and answering all of our questions last Thursday!
Michael Presman In response to: Saw the Film at the SAG headquarters in LA - IT is a TERRIFIC Film!

Your more than welcome, and thank-you for spreading the word about the movie. Every little bit helps. This is the important week-end.
Laura Lambros In response to: Saw the Film at the SAG headquarters in LA - IT is a TERRIFIC Film!

I am so happy I attended the screening at SAG. It was so great to feel like we were witnessing the beginning of what this film is going to do, not just for audiences but for those involved in making it. I haven't laughed that hard at a movie in a long time. This is going to be a surprise hit just like Greek Wedding!! Finally the masses will be able to see the work of an obvious standout talent-Lisa! Keep up the great work!!
Michael Pressman In response to: Saw the Film at the SAG headquarters in LA - IT is a TERRIFIC Film!

We were thrilled with the response at the SAG screening, as well as all our
wonderful reviews. It is thrilling. But we need more people to go to the theater to make it a "Hit". This is another critical week-end. Tell everyone you know about the movie.

From Message
VIC POLIZOS Subject: reality

I found all your characters very interesting, I know they are to some extent based on reality. Where do " you" end and the characters begin in this film? Thanks
Michael Pressman In response to: reality

There is a purposeful blurring of reality and fiction. The film is filled with emotional truths but a lot of the story has been fictionalized.
However, Alan Rosenberg was smoking
real pot in the dressing room scene.

Either way I would still love to see it on the big screen when it opens in LA. I had a great time on the set and enjoyed working with you. My cell # if necessary is 310-428-3150. I hope to hear from you soon and again congratulations on the film's sucess!

Natasha Maidoff Subject: Moving, important film

Dear Michael and Lisa,
I was a fellow filmmaker at the Other Venice film festival, and I wanted to again thank you for your brilliant and brave and oh so personal film. To me, your film was everything a film should be.
It was touching, funny, poignant, and it really did show what a fine actress Lisa is. She is human, so palpably vulnerable; and I would love to cast her in one of my projects. I will be having a reading of a screenplay called LOCKED OUT that takes place in Venice and, if at all possible I would love to invite Lisa to participate in that.
I also wanted to inform you that my friend Eric Vollmer is putting together a Chautauqua Performing Arts Festival in Venice to celebrate the 100th birthday of our fine town...Tonight (April 22)he's presenting it at the Venice Town Meeting at the Venice Center for Peace and Justice and the Performing Arts at 7PM at 2210 Lincoln Blvd (corner of Lincoln & Victoria). It's a little bit late notice, but I'll keep you posted if you're interested in being involved.
As I said in person, good luck with the distribution and screenings in NY and LA. I will recommend it to my friends.
All my best,
